Here & Now

Well, I find myself out on the sea
Following the clumsy breeze
As seagulls sing of heaven eternally.
My story stars sprawled out on the docks
And it'll end on the hands of a drunk clock
Who stumbles back and rants on about what they saw.

The gleaming gusts delight
At the mynah birds who take flight and call out "here & now!"
Laughing in the face of the night.
The natives perfected views on life! Listen well, they sing...

Stumbling in a savannah,
Nothing on but a bandanna,
I'm searching for ways to right the wrong.
A bird lands right on the spot,
Reminds me to deal with what I've got
Then suddenly, I'm in the tropics, nice and hot.

The gleaming gusts delight
At the mynah birds who take flight and call out "here & now!"
Laughing in the face of the night.
The natives perfected views on life! Listen well, they sing...
